Mr. Torrens M'Cullagh, formerly M.P. for Dundalk and Yarmouth, is writing the Life and Times of Sir James Graham, in 2 vols. Mr. M'Cullagh is well known as the author of The Life of Sheil, and other works, and is believed to be an active contributor to the leader columns of the Daily News.

The first volume of Messrs. Strahan & Co.'s New Family Library, under the title of Books for the People, just issued, fully bears out the promise of the prospectus. It is the popular series of Essays entitled Recreations of a Country Parson. The volume contains nearly 400 pages, beautifully printed on thick toned paper, and bound in smooth cloth, tastefully ornamented. Messrs. DEAN & Co. have just issued a new Trade Catalogue of books, prints, stationery, fancy goods, &c., published or sold by them. It is very extensive, comprising almost every variety of articles sold by stationers and dealers in fancy articles in town or country. The trade and selling price is affixed to each article, and the Catalogue, which forms a solid pamphlet of 200 closely printed pages, is well indexed for easy reference.

Messrs. MACNIVEN & CAMERON, of Edinburgh, have just issued a series of twelve copy-books, with the titles of Waverley Copy-Books, with engraved head-lines, price twopence each. They are worthy of notice for the excellence of the paper of which they are composed.

AUCTIONS DURING THE ENSUING FORTNIGHT.-Messrs. Puttick & Simpson, Sept. 3 to 5, Collection of music in all classes, vocal and instrumental; Sept. 5, Eight hundred wrought-iron photographic printing frames, with self-acting springs.

Errata in our last No.-Page 380, line 7, for "second" read "first"; page 383, line 5, for "Oxford" read "Exeter."
