It was begun by Edward the Confeffor, continued by Henry the Third, and perfected by Henry the Seventh. It is the place in which our Kings and Queens have for centuries entered into folemn engagements with their Subjects, on receiving the Crown; and where their remains, with few exceptions have found their laft repose.
