CHARLES SCRIBNER'S SONS will publish this month a timely book on the Philippines, by Joseph Earle Stevens, a young Bostonian who went to Manila in charge of important business interests several years ago and lived there for nearly two years. He made frequent excursions not only into the interior of Luzon but also to the other islands of the group, so that the information he gives is probably as comprehensive as any in the possession of an American. The work will be illustrated with reproductions of a number of photographs taken by the author and others. They have also made arrangements with A. Constable & Co. to publish a library edition of the novels of Henry Fielding in twelve demy octavo volumes. It J. B. LIPPINCOTT COMPANY announce a new book for boys by Captain, or, rather, Brigadier-will be strictly limited in number, and the volGeneral, Charles King.
