STATE SUPPORT FOR THE EVALUATION

The State shall provide or make available the following information:

1.

A list of VPP brand drugs with the name of the manufacturers/suppliers

and the rebate rates.

2.

A list of pharmacies who are participating in the Volume Purchase Plan

pilot project.

3.

A list of wholesalers who are servicing the VPP pharmacies.

4.

The quarterly VPP drug utilization reports of the VPP pharmacies.

(These reports will be available approximately one month after the
end of the quarter.)

5.

A list of VPP staff and other state staff that may be in administrative
support of VPP.

6. Statewide utilization reports of all drags prescribed for Medi-Cal beneficiaries on a monthly basis.

(These reports will be available

approximately one month from the reporting month.)

7. Statewide utilization reports of all drugs prescribed for Medi-Cal beneficiaries for Fiscal Years 1974-75, 1975-76, and 1976-77.

Any other available reports and documents which are relevant to the
evaluation of the VPP pilot project.

1. The bidder shall define each task of the evaluation for the pilot

project, and list their bid price for each task.

2.

The State shall award the evaluation project to a single contractor.
However, the State shall reserve the right to award to the successful
bidder a contract for one task, several tasks, all tasks of the
evaluation of the pilot project as outlined under the section "TASKS"

of this IFB.

3.

The six items listed under "TASKS" shall have the following order
of priority:

NOTE:

If Tasks 1, 2, and 5 are a part of the contract, Task 6, the

final report, shall include the findings of Tasks 1, 2, and 5.

4. Bid price shall not be the sole criterion in the award of the

contract.

Bidder's qualification and experience in project evaluation shall

be considered.

Bidder's present status with respect to other contracts may be

considered.

This is your Invitation for Bid (IFB) on the drug testing tasks of the Volume
Purchase Plan (VPP) pilot project that is to be implemented by the state of

California.

CONTRACT PERIOD

A contract of 12 months duration shall be awarded to the successful bidder.
The contract shall start when the VRPilot project is implemented and shall

end either 12 months after the pilot project has been in operation or when

the maximum amount of the contract has been expended, whatever occurs first.

DAYS.
